Exactly what touches the network — and what never does.

GrammarGem is private by design. Everything that processes your writing runs on your Mac. There is no telemetry by default, and your text is never uploaded, logged, or used to train a model.

The only times GrammarGem uses the network

  1. 1A one-time download of the AI model from Hugging Face on first run.
  2. 2License activation and a periodic validation check.
  3. 3Checking for app updates.

Writing never needs internet

After the one-time model download, grammar and AI features work fully offline. No outbound request ever contains your text.
