One-time license, device caps, and moving to a new Mac.

GrammarGem is a one-time purchase with a lifetime license that includes updates. Each plan allows a set number of Macs.

Device caps

  • Solo — 1 Mac.
  • Personal — 2 Macs.
  • Studio — 4 Macs.
  • Startup License (Team) — 10 Macs.

Activate a device

  1. 1Open Settings → License.
  2. 2Paste your license key and press Activate.
  3. 3GrammarGem ties the activation to a private, hashed device id — reinstalling on the same Mac won’t use a second slot.

Move to a new Mac

Open Settings → License on the old Mac and choose “Deactivate this device” to free a slot, then activate the new one. If a device hasn’t validated in 30 days it gracefully drops to the free tier rather than locking you out.
